When it comes to search engine optimization <\/strong>(SEO) or the question “What is SEO?<\/a>“, sooner or later the term “backlink<\/strong>” comes up. This, also known as a “backlink<\/strong>“, has long been an integral part of website networks<\/strong>. Backlinks play a decisive role in the visibility and relevance of websites <\/strong>on the internet and should not be missing in SEO. But what exactly is meant by the term backlinks and how exactly is it possible to generate your own backlinks for your website? We at oneline.ch <\/strong>explain!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is a backlink?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Almost everyone who wants to build their own websites and be successful with them will ask themselves the question “What are backlinks<\/a>?” at some point. A backlink is a so-called hyperlink <\/strong>that redirects to a website and its content<\/strong>. The idea is obvious: Google checks how often other websites link to the respective website via a backlink. These are therefore rated as a recommendation<\/strong>. Ultimately, this means that with increasing backlinks<\/strong>, the content of the website <\/strong>must also be interesting <\/strong>or helpful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When it comes to search engine optimization, this mechanism is therefore often used to bring your own website to the top of the Google rankings<\/strong>. This can be done both artificially and naturally. There are also different types of backlinks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the following, we would like to introduce you to the different types of backlinks:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

DoFollow: <\/strong>The so-called “Follow attribute” is used to signal that the website in question should be followed<\/strong>. These links are particularly valuable<\/strong>, as the page on which the link is created passes this power on to the page that was linked to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NoFollow: <\/strong>Here, no “link power” <\/strong>is passed on and thus shows the search engines that this link should not be taken into account<\/strong>. It is important to know that paid links must always be marked as NoFollow <\/strong>in order to comply <\/strong>with Google’s guidelines<\/strong>. They therefore do not contribute directly to improving your ranking<\/strong>, but can be of indirect benefit if they bring traffic to your website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Image backlinks<\/strong>: An image is linked <\/strong>here. This can be, for example, a partner logo with a link to the corresponding website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
